Ted's Background
I've always enjoyed being creative. Drawing, painting, playing instruments, and tinkering were among my hobbies.
My parents introduced me to dinosaurs, the space, geography and history, which is why I learned to think about the world outside my school or neighbourhood from a young age.

Growing up in Berlin, I was influenced and inspired by its rich history. I've met many people with working class migrant backgrounds, but also people who had lived through the years when the city was divided and reunited again.
Berlin is complex, vast, chaotic, and sometimes messy, but there is inspiration and creativity all over the city. Berlin has a certain appeal.

Ted's Career
My first job was at an opera house in Berlin, Germany. It was a three-year apprenticeship where I learned to set up lighting, sound, video projections, special effects, and stage rigging. This job taught me the general work ethics and routines at stage events and exhibitions. This job combined creativity and handcraft, but it also opened up some opportunities to connect with many different key people from the event industry and even allowed me to get a glimpse on unexpected aspects of such work, like scaffolding and making props for sets and learning to appreciate hard work.
I started reading on the busses and trains on the way to work and back home, and within a year I became more interested in writing.
In January 2017, I started working on my first fantasy novel. I created a universe for my books, drew maps and fleshed out fictional characters, did research and wrote down more ideas, all while still occupied with a full-time job.
In August 2019, I successfully finished my apprenticeship and started my YouTube channels right away.

In 2020, I found another full-time job which then was put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I used the extra time I got to set up my own studio in my humble, little flat. During this time, I also spent lots of time working on my novels. I constantly improved my manuscripts and made necessary changes. Some changes were subtle, others were drastic.

In 2021, my YouTube carreer was put on hold when I began another job as a lighting technician for a rental specialised in filming equipment. I was mainly assisting customers and maintaining and testing power cables of different types.
By the end of 2022, I became a logistician and earned a slightly better salary, but the complexity of work paired with a lack of co-workers and some bad decisions from the company led to me becoming a lighting technician, customer assistant, substitute car depot worker, and logistician at once.
I was still young and wanted to do something where I felt like doing something meaningful. It was the main reason I got into contact with the military and applied to join the next year. Early 2023, a leaked document showing a disparity in salaries which reinforced me in my decision to quit my third job and join the military...

As of April 2025, I'm a soldier in the German Bundeswehr and an aspiring writer...
